Adolph John Pavel, 84, of Concord, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2025.

Adolph was born on February 1, 1941, in Omaha, NE and graduated from Clarkson High School in Clarkson, NE in 1958. He joined the United States Navy in 1959 and was soon visiting ports in the Philippines and Japan—an exciting adventure for a Nebraska farm boy. He was selected for Naval Submarine School and earned his dolphins. In 1964, Adolph was part of the Commissioning Crew on the USS Lewis and Clark; he was so proud of his “silent service” as a submariner and fondly spoke of his Navy days throughout the remainder of his life. Adolph finished his Naval career at Pearl Harbor as an instructor. During that time, he had a bit role in the movie “Tora, Tora, Tora,” filmed on location in Hawaii.

After being discharged from the Navy in 1971, Adolph returned to Omaha where he married his wife, Linde. He found employment in the growing field of computers and electronics, which he continued to pursue throughout his professional career. After a transfer to Des Moines, IA, he was eventually transferred to the Dallas, TX area where he and Linde raised their daughter.

Adolph enjoyed camping, bass fishing, raising horses and cattle, supporting his daughter in her equestrian endeavors, traveling, and constantly pursuing his life-long passion of photography.

Adolph was a long-time member of the Stonebriar Church in Frisco, Texas.

Adolph is survived by his wife, Linde; daughter, Brenda Shute (Keith) of Shelburne, NH; cherished granddaughters, Arielle Horning (Brad) of Thornton, NH, and Britney McBride (Matt Oberlin) of Windermere, FL. Adolph was a proud great-grandfather to Christie, Kourtney, and Vanessa. Adolph also leaves behind his brother, Norman Pavel of Nebraska City, NE; and nieces Traci Anthens (John) of Nebraska City, NE, and Tammy Gaden (Tom) of Omaha, NE, and their families.

Adolph was predeceased by his parents John and Ella Pavel and sister-in-law Rosella Pavel.
