Albert Arthur Bovyn III, 82, died Tuesday, October 22 at home in Goffstown, NH. He was born on April 2, 1942, in Portsmouth, NH, the son of Albert and Beatrice Bovyn.
He was the husband of Flora Bovyn. They were married on April 14, 1979, in Auburn, NH.
Albert is survived by his children, Brian Bovyn of Goffstown, NH, Cheryl Denis and her husband, Marc, of Goffstown, NH, Luanna Adams of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and Rhonda Williams and her husband, Keith of Adel, Georgia. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Bovyn of Dover, NH and his wife, Veronica, 2 nieces, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Albert graduated in 1960 from Portsmouth High School, belonged to DeMolay, and served in the Army National Guard, Btry A (SLT), 197th Arty, in Manchester, NH. He worked many years as an insurance adjuster, and then at Hunters Angling in New Boston, NH and then American Angling Supplies in Salem, NH. He also belonged to Trout Unlimited, the Salmon Association, and Manchester Fly Fishers. He also enjoyed sports, following the Red Sox, Celtics, and the Patriots. He was an avid fly-fisherman and fly tyer.
No formal services will be held. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Those who wish may make a memorial contribution in Albert’s memory to the St. Jude’s cancer or heart foundation.
