Albert J. Cote, Jr., 79, died on June 7, 2011 at Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover after a short and difficult battle with cancer.
He was born on August 16, 1931 in Lawrence, Massachusetts where he grew up. He graduated from Central Catholic High School then proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After being discharged from the Navy he attended Bates College and later graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara. He then became a lifetime employee of Prudential Insurance Company.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Cote, whom he married in 1952.
He leaves three children, Karen Hurney of Orlando, FL; Michele (and husband Hugh) Hawkins of Barrington; Michael (and wife Barbara) Cote of Litchfield; his brother Thomas (and wife Doris) Cote of Danvers, MA. Albert is also survived by seven grandchildren: Patrick Hurney, Jessica (Cote) Cruz, Jordan Hurney, Julia and Jenna Hawkins and Connor and Hannah Cote.
SERVICES: A graveside service for family and friends will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Monday, June 13, at 11:00 am.
