IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Aldo Guy
Clark, Sr.
May 13, 1932 – March 19, 2026
Aldo Guy Clark, Sr., 93 died peacefully on March 19, 2026, at Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born on Friday, May 13, 1932, in Orange, VT, the son of Claude Clark and Nellie Cook Clark.
He was predeceased by his wife Viola Parker Clark of Vershire, VT. They were married on May 13, 1950, in Vershire Parsonage. Aldo was predeceased by his parents and 8 siblings.
Aldo worked at Camp Norway on Lake Fairlee in his youth. He worked in the Lumber business and Ely Mines in VT when he was first married. In the 1950’s, he and Viola moved to CT where he worked for Sealtest Dairy Company in Hartford, Auerfarm in Bloomfield, the Town of Bloomfield, and finally retired from Dunn Bros, Inc in S. Windsor. Upon retirement, Aldo and Viola moved back to a new home in Vershire, VT in the 1980s. He spent the last two years living at Harvest Hill in Lebanon, NH.
Aldo loved lake, brook and ice fishing. We joined him out on Lake Fairlee in his ice fishing hut many times. He was an avid hunter in both VT and CT. He and Viola enjoyed a big vegetable garden every year and did canning and freezing. They enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds and loved watching nature from their porch. We loved hearing all his stories about his interesting past. He played baseball in his youth and later was on a town team, loved a good game of golf and was on a bowling team when he lived in Bloomfield. He enjoyed camping and boating. He even waterskied after his 80th birthday on Lake Fairlee. Aldo had a maple sugar shack and spent his springs making maple syrup for his family and friends. He also had a woodworking shop and built lots of bird houses and signs.
Aldo is survived by 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Daughter and Son-in-law, Chris and Scott McCrea, Daughter, Kathleen Fleming, Son and Daughter-in-law, Aldo Jr. and Sandy Clark, Grand Children, Shawn Durkee, Dawn McCrea, Callie Cordner, Tanya Clark, Tara and husband, Paul Kesig, Ryan and wife, Diana Fleming.
