Alexander Joseph Godin

Alexander Joseph Godin of Nashua, NH, age 69, passed away after a sudden illness on March 21, 2002. Alexander was born in Sanford, Maine on July 3, 1932. He is the son of the late Onesime and Mable (Duprey) Godin. Also deceased are his brothers Donald, Joseph and a sister Odella. Mr. Godin is survived by his wife Norma. They have been married fifty-one years, one daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Dennis Vaillancourt, Hudson, NH; three sons and daughters-in laws David and Sue Godin of Nashua, NH; Christopher and Kathy Godin of Highland, California; and Patrick and Audrey Godin of Somerset, Kentucky. Mr. Godin was the grandfather of William and Brian Vaillancourt, Jessica and Brandon Godin, Mark and Cindy Godin and Brooke Brayboy; wife of Louis Brayboy, Jennifer, Jared and Alex Godin. Mr. Godin is also survived by several sisters and brothers: Mildred Larose of Lebanon Maine, Vickie Lamontagne of Derry, NH, Theresa Rodidas of Connecticut, MaryAnn Estes of Wells, Maine, and Elizabeth Moffree of Sanford Maine. Michael Godin of Sanford, Maine, Peter Godin of Sanford, Maine, Onesime Godin, Jr of Sanford, Maine, John Godin of West Newfield, Maine, and Patrick Godin of Wells, Maine. Mr. Godin is also survived by three great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Godin was employed by Triangle Pacific for twenty years. Upon leaving his employment with Triangle Pacific, he and his wife Norma moved to San Bernardino, California where they managed Villa Granada and Viking Apartments until 1986. From 1986 – 1994 Mr. Godin and his wife owned and operated the Colonial Comfort Inn in Gorham, NH. In 1995, Mr. Godin and his wife took up residence in Nashua, NH. Mr. Godin is a member of the Nashua Baptist Church where he was employed as custodian. Viewing hours will be held for the immediate family only. All are invited to attend the memorial service at the Nashua Baptist Church, 555 Broad Street, Nashua, NH on Monday, March 25th at 4:00 PM. Burial will take place at Hills Memorial Cemetery in Hudson at a later date.
