Listen to Obituary

Alexander John Constant, Jr., better known as “Skip,” 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Skip was born on September 15, 1949, in Concord, NH, the son of Alexander and Enid Constant. He was raised in Concord with his seven siblings and attended Concord High School.

He enjoyed a fruitful 17-year career as Manager of Manufacturing and Operations at Pitco Frialator, which brought him to Japan, Louisiana, and California. In 1990, he opened Constantly Pizza with his two sons, where he enjoyed lending a hand throughout the rest of his life.

In retirement, he became involved in real estate development and traveling. With his wife of 45 years, Brenda, he traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, the National Parks, and throughout Europe. His favorite recurring trip was to Lake Ontario, where he enjoyed king salmon fishing with his friends.

His biggest gift in life was his family. His son, John Constant, with his wife, Emily, and grandson, Alex, and Dave Constant, with his wife, Justyn, and grandsons, Anthony, and Angelo, kept him busy with many school outings, activities, and weekend events. His daughter, Lorinda Constant, and her husband, Ted Chang, were frequent visitors with his grand-dogs.

One of his greatest pleasures in life was helping those in need. He cared profoundly for his community and the welfare of others. He was a positive force who will be deeply missed in Concord.

He is survived by his siblings, Lorinda Stokel, Leanne Jackson, and Lori Constant.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Judith Colbath, Caren Duclos, Leonard Constant, and James Constant.

Private services for immediate family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Concord Boys & Girls Club of Central NH, 55 Bradley Street, Concord, NH, where Skip attended as a boy and was grateful for the opportunities the club provided him.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH.
