Alexandre G. Law, 79, of 95 North River Road, died September 15th after a lengthy illness. He was born September 13, 1922 in Brockton, MA, the son of W. Graham and Amy (Leafe) Law. He attended public schools there, then graduated from Tufts University in Boston in 1943, and Tufts University School of Medicine in 1946. In 1944, he served with the U.S. Navy, first as a medical student, then as a physician at the Charlestown Naval Yard and later the Portsmouth Naval Yard. Dr. Law was formerly school physician at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and later was in private practice in Milford, NH for 39 years. In 1951, he married Dr. Augusta (Foster) Law, of ME. Family members include a son, Ian R. Law of San Diego, CA, and three daughters: Marjorie L. Jacques of Crawfordville, FL, Susan L. Fleisher of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Aimee L. Heru of Pawtucket, RI. There are six grandchildren. Dr. Law was a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Historical Society, and the Appalachian Mountain Club. Services: A memorial service will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Church of Our Savior (Episcopal) in Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Souhegan Home and Hospice Care.
