Alfred E. Nadeau

Alfred E. Nadeau, 83, formerly of Nashua, NH and Lowell, Ma. died July 3, 2005, at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, after a brief illness. He was born in Lowell, Ma., on July 3, 1922 and was the son of the late Levoire and Florida (Plourde) Nadeau. He and his wife of 57 years, the late Dorothy (Lovett) Nadeau, lived in Lowell, Ma., while raising their three children; Robert Nadeau of Brentwood, NH, Charles Nadeau of Lowell, Ma. and Lucinda Hirt of San Antonio, Texas. They lived in Pelham, NH and ultimately Nashua, NH. Al was a championship swimmer in his youith. He spent 39 years in the US Navy serving in WW II, Korea and Viet Nam. Gold was his passion for the past 45 years. He was active in the VFW, US Submarine Vets of WW II, Wlks and the American Legion. In addtion to his three children, he is survived by his sister, Rachel Huff of Raleigh, North Carolina, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren. He is predeceased by brothers; Roger and Richard Nadeau and a sister, Rita Sullivan. As was his wish, there will be a private burial at the NH State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
