WOLFEBORO Alice Gray, 85, of the Ledges, passed away December 6. 2003, at the Concord Hospice House in Concord, NH. She was born in Taunton, Mass., on March 25, 1918, the daughter of Jose and Mary (Fonts) Lima. She grew up on a farm in Chelmsford, Mass. For most of her adult life she lived on the South Shore of Mass. She and her husband moved to Alton, NH in 1988, and Wolfeboro in 1994. She was a homemaker who also worked in the restaurant and housecleaning industries until her late 70s. She was an active member of the Wolfeboro Bible Fellowship. She was predeceased by her husband, George A. Gray, Sr., in June of 1992. Members of her family include two sons and daughter-in laws: George and Sandra Gray of Belmont, NH and David and Mary Gray of Marstons Mills, Mass.; one sister, Evelyn Masdea, of Kingston, Mass.; four brothers, Arthur Lima, Anthony Lima, Joseph Lima. and James Lima, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Alice enjoyed early morning walks and was well-known in Wolfeboro and Alton Bay. She will be dearly missed by friends and family. There are no immediate services. There will be a memorial service at the Smith Meeting House in Gilmanton, NH on January 24, 2004 at 1 p.m. In her memory, contributions may be made to the Wolfeboro Bible Fellowship, c/o Pastor Scott Button at RR1, Box 237-A2, Alton, NH 03809.
