Alice V. Lanoie

Alive V. (Lavoie) Lanoie, 83, of Manchester passed away on November 13, 2011 at Villa Crest Nursing Home after a long illness with her family by her side.

She was born in Manchester on March 22, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Anna (Robert) Lavoie and had been a resident of the city for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a bookkeeper in various offices in Manchester, Derry, and Portsmouth, including Silver Brothers, The Sanco Company, The Galley Hatch Restaurant and The Achievement Center. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, square dancing, and traveling. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) Lanoie in 1995.

Family members include a son, Michael Lanoie and his wife Caroline of Manchester; two daughters, Terry Seavey and her husband Mark of Candia, and Elaine Drew and her husband Clay of New Boston; five grandchildren, Christine Lanoie-Newman of her husband Daniell of Los Angeles, CA, Brain Seavey and his wife Christine of Lakewood, WA, Jeff Seavey and his wife Beth of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, David Seavey and his wife Jenna of Manchester, and Amanda Drew of New Boston; five great grandchildren, Kyra Lanoie-Newman, Caleb Seavey, Owen Seavey, Paxton Seavey and Ethan Seavey; a niece, Diane Foose of Manchester; and several other nephews and nieces.

A memorial gathering will take place at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow in the Cremation Society chapel at 1:00 PM officiated by her grandson, Jeff Seavey, Pastor of Pinelands Community Church in Tuckerton, NJ.
