Alice H. Stevens, artist, dies at age 104 Alice H. Stevens, 104, of Hampton Road, died May 9, 2001, at Langdon Place, Exeter after a brief illness. She was born October 4, 1896, in Tipton, Indiana the daughter of Jesse and Lora (Teter) Hubbard. She was the widow of Clark L. Stevens. Alice was a resident of Durham for almost 70 years prior to moving to Langdon Place in 1995. She was a graduate of Yale School of Art and was an artist. Best known for her portrait of Ben Thompson, UNH Founder, which is still on display at the University. She was a member of the Community Church of Durham and sang in the choir for many years. Family members include a daughter, Connie (Bambi) Crane of Sedona, Arizona, three grandchildren, Catherine Kimball of Farmington, Maine, Amy Kimball of Brooklyn, New York and Steven Kimball of Auburn, NH. SERVICES: Services will be held Monday, May 14, 2001, at 2 PM at the Community Church of Durham, Main Street, Durham, NH. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Community Church of Durham Choir Fund, Main Street, Durham, NH 03824. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements
