Alice Nutting Vincent, 87, formerly of Goffstown, died peacefully March 28, 2007 at Pheasantwood Harborside in Peterborough following complications from Alzheimers. She was born in Manchester on February 8, 1920 to Frederick S. and Jennie L. (Wentworth) Nutting. Alice graduated from Central High School, class of 1936A and attended Mount St. Marys College in Hooksett. After pursuing a career in photography she married Robert H. Vincent of Goffstown and they established R.H. Vincent Ladies Apparel as well as an antique business. Alice was an active community supporter, a member of the Congregation Church, serving as chairman of the Mission Committee, assistant treasurer of the historical society, a member of the Goffstown Garden Club, the Goffstown Mothers Club, the Tuesday Club, volunteered weekly at Meals on Wheels and played enthusiastically on the Goffstown Womens Bowling League. She was a loving wife, mother and daughter and a kind and good friend to many. She was predeceased by her husband Robert H. Vincent. Family members include; her son, Robert H. Vincent of Greenfield; two daughters, Jennifer Wilson of New Boston and Alice Vincent of Goffstown; and 2 grandsons; as well as nieces and nephews. In her life: She leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Karen Vincent and a son-in-law, Mark Wilson as well as her beloved grandsons, David V. Leblanc of Boston, MA and Joshua A. Wilson of Kobe, Japan. Four brothers, Sumner, Osgood, Frederick and Lyman Nutting and two nephews also predeceased Alice. There are no calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held in Goffstown at Westlawn Cemetery in August. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of the arrangements.
