Allan "Al" K. Lavery

Allan Kenneth Lavery passed under the care of Catholic Medical Center on Saturday, March 20th, 2021 following an extended period of failing health.

"Al" or "Lav", as he was lovingly referred to, was born in Manchester, NH on December 16th, 1950 to Robert and Marion Lavery. Al was an avid lover of golf and pool. Throughout is life he was a jack of all trades until his health issues forced an early retirement. A true "sneaker-head", he amassed an impressive collection of one-of-a-kind and limited-edition shoes that made him immensely proud. He had an absolute sweet tooth, was a real connoisseur of desserts and had a heart of gold. He was a true animal lover who sorely missed his cat Buddy when he passed away.

Al was as stubborn as an ox, an unmovable force when he did not want to do something, but he was also funny and kind.

He served terms as both President and Vice President of the Club Canadian and belonged to numerous social clubs throughout the city. He regularly met his friends at the Club Mont Royal for weekly games of pool.

Al was predeceased by his parents and his brother Robert Lavery Jr. He is survived by his partner of over thirty years, Karen Prive; his one and only child, daughter Brenda Lavery, both of Manchester; brother Steven (Fran) Lavery of Leesville, LA; brother Brian (Edda) Lavery of Pembroke, NH; sister Donna Willey of Manchester, NH along with many nieces, nephews, Karen's children and family, and a loving community of friends and colleagues. He will be deeply missed by he and Karen's Maltese Gina.

A celebration of Al's life will be held on May 16th from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Club Canadian in Manchester, NH.
