It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Almando (“Al”) DeFeo, Jr. on 5/14/24. He died in his home after a valiant effort to fight cancer. Al was raised in Revere, Everett, and West Peabody, MA, but most recently resided in Manchester, NH.
He enjoyed family and friends, riding his Harleys, Corvettes, fishing, golfing, skiing, cars in general, and camping with grandkids. He also enjoyed bantering with people. He was sarcastic, yet funny, and unfortunately, was passionate about politics.
He was a proud US Army Veteran, as a draftee during the Viet Nam War era, and was proudly followed into service by his son AJ, who served many years for the Army, and now his granddaughter Alexa, who is currently enlisted in the Air Force.
Al was predeceased by his forever cherished father Almando DeFeo, Sr., as well as his mother Myra Hayward, and brothers James and Philip DeFeo.
Al is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Sylvia DeFeo, son Almando DeFeo, III and his wife Melanie of Nashua, NH, son Adam DeFeo and his life partner, Winson Wang, of Sunrise, Florida, and daughter Stephanie DeFeo of Derry, NH. He will also be missed dearly by his 4 grandchildren: Matthew DeFeo and his wife Krista, Alexa DeFeo, Haley DeFeo and Natalia Spillane; and 4 great grandchildren: Anthony, Julian, Theodore, and Claire. He is also survived by his brother Wayne DeFeo and his wife Joanne of Northfield, NH, sister Robin DeFeo of Derry, NH, and sister Joanne Geisser and her husband Paul Geisser of Sandown, NH.
A funeral service will take place at the Brookside Congregational Church, 2013 Elm Street Manchester, NH, on May 30, 2024 at 2PM, all are welcome to attend.
At the request of the family, please do not send flowers. Instead, they ask that donations in Al’s memory be sent to VNA Hospice, 1070 Holt Ave, Suite, Manchester, NH.
