Andrew “Andy” Philip Coleman, 63, of Pepperell, MA, passed away on November 16, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. Born in Melrose, MA on December 15, 1961, he was a son of the late Philip and Virginia (Rowe) Coleman.
Andy was raised in Melrose and was a 1981 graduate of Melrose High School. He had a long career at Stop & Shop, working at many locations over 37 years, and retired from the Revere location where he had been working as an overnight stocker. Andy loved karaoke and was often found singing “Brandy” by Looking Glass or “Don’t Take the Girl” by Tim McGraw. He also enjoyed spending time at the VFW in Melrose and the Pelican in Lynn. A collector of antiques and an avid woodworker, he had a deep interest in the history of gold. He also loved spending time listening to his records.
Andy is survived by his children, Cassandrah Piermarini of Pepperell, MA, Christopher Coleman of Lowell, MA, Elizabeth Coleman of Kittery, ME, Molly Coleman of Attleboro, MA, and Andrew Coleman of Norton, MA; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Avalyn, Kenneth Jr., Anthony, Liana, and Franklyn; his siblings, Betsy Stamegna of North Reading, MA, Louise Joyce of Newburyport, MA, Caroline Clark of Rollinsford, NH, Daniel Coleman of Reading, MA, and Philip Coleman of Everett, MA; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Andy’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 6th from 1PM-5PM at the VFW on 14 Chipman Ave, Melrose, MA. Family and friends are invited to attend.
