Andrew F. "Andy" Cote, Jr., 59, of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at home after a short illness. Born in Manchester on July 30, 1958, he is the son of Andrew and Beatrice (Swanson) Cote, and attended Manchester Schools. Andrew married Carol A. Downie on July 29, 1977.
Andrew worked at East Hollis Street Shell in Nashua until he became disabled. He volunteered for the American Red Cross as a CPR and First Aid instructor. He was also a Mass Care Coordinator for Rehab and Shelter. Andrew served as district commissioner for the Boy Scout of America, Daniel Webster Council. He enjoyed time with his family, woodworking and home projects.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Carol A. Cote; son Shane and his wife, Tina; daughter Tara Linnell and her husband, Richard; and son Nathan and his wife, Desiree; his mother, Beatrice Cote; sister Carol Wenzel and her husband, Kenneth; a brother, Clifford Cote ,and sister Lisa Groulx; 11 grandchildren, I great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 106 Lowell St. Manchester, at 1030 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
