Anita Ann Hanson

Anita Ann Hanson,77, died Tuesday, November 25th 2025, at Harris Hill Center in Concord. She was born on September 29, 1948 in Concord, NH, the daughter of Ernest and Irene Ouellette. She graduated from Concord High School in 1967.

She met the love of her life, Ken Hanson, working in the cafeteria at Concord Hospital as a teenager. They eloped and were married on May 10, 1969 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Together, they lived on Sweatt St in Boscawen for over 50 years and raised their daughter, Cheryl. Anita also worked at Beede Electric and then came full circle and retired from the Call Center at Concord Hospital.

Anita and Ken were active members of the United Church of Penacook. She had an amazing faith and is now reunited with her loved ones in heaven.

Family was everything to Anita and that love shown through everyday of her life. She was a devoted mom and best friend to her daughter. She was so proud to be a grandma to any child that needed one, and then to be crowned beloved Grandma to Katelyn and Jaxson.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Irene Ouellette of Penacook, NH.

She is survived by adoring husband of 56 years, Ken Hanson, daughter Cheryl Rodgers, Son In Law Chris Rodgers, Granddaughters Katelyn and Jaxson Rodgers of Penacook, Sister Peggy Ouellette of Concord, and brother Ernest “Buddy” Ouellette of Penacook, and leaves behind many cousins and extended family and friends that she would consider family.

An informal visitation and memorial service will be held, 4-7pm, Thursday, Dec 4th, 2025 at 172 King St, Boscawen.
