Ann Marie "Annie" Ball, age 70, of Manchester, NH passed away on April 8, 2026 after a period of declining health. Born in Manchester on September 12,1955, to Arthur E. Ball and Theresa Padden Ball, Annie was a lifelong resident of New England. Her early education was at McDonalds (St. Annes) and Central High School in Manchester, culminating in a degree from the University of New Hampshire.
Annie dedicated her professional life to nursing, providing care at the Elliott Hospital and CMC Manchester, and later at Cape Cod Hospital. Her commitment to health and well-being extended into her personal life where she was a fervent volunteer for various organizations, including the Democratic Party. Known for her quick wit, dark humor, and engaging storytelling, Annie also possessed a deep capacity for listening, traits that endured her to many. Annie's creative spirit was expressed through playing guitar, singing, songwriting and enriching the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her sister, Kathleen M. Brown, her husband James; nephew James M. Brown; niece Jessica Cawley, her husband Matthew, and their children Padden and Isaac and several close friends including Betsy, Dave, Amy and Sarah.
Her parents, Arthur and Teresa, and her brother, Thomas M. Ball preceded her in death.
In lieu of memorial services, as per her wishes, Annie's life will continue to be influenced through charitable contributions to Pope Memorial SPCA, 94 Silk Farm Rd., Concord, NH 03301.
