Ann T. Fournier, 84, of Chichester passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 following a period of declining health. She was surrounded by her loving and devoted family throughout her last days.
Ann was born in Concord, NH on January 26, 1933 to Walter and Mary (Champagne) Lassonde. She was raised in Concord, graduated from Concord High School class of 1950, and worked at Sprague Electric and the State of New Hampshire. Music was a big part of her life. She and her brothers had their own band in the 40's and played at the Old Barn in Deerfield. Family reunions were represented by decades of barn parties where her family all played instruments. She had a special bond with her grandson Charles Foss and her great grandson Taylor Foss. They spent precious time watching movies, eating out, and swimming in the pool. Ann was a former member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed watching movies of all genres. She was also an enormous motorcycle enthusiast. Ann and her husband and brothers loved riding together and proudly sported T-shirts identifying themselves as the "Wrinkle Riders."
Ann is survived by her children, Judith and husband, Dr. Ralph "Bud" Phelan of Canterbury, Rae Ann King of Murfreesboro, TN, Brian Towle of Concord, and Charlene and husband, Glenn Vallee of Chichester; stepsons, Gene, Chris, and Mark Fournier and her beloved stepdaughter Mary Harrison and husband, Ric; brothers, Raymond and Roy Lassonde; nephew, Raymond Lassonde and wife, Linda; great-niece, Kayleigh Lassonde; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many cherished friends. She was predeceased by her husband, E. Alan Fournier (1996) as well as her brothers, Robert and Frank Lassonde.
Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, May 25th 6:00-8:00pm, with an opportunity to share stories and memories at 7:30pm, at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Burial will take place at Blossom Hill Cemetery privately. In lieu of flowers donations in Ann's name may be made to The American Cancer Society online at www.cancer.org to honor her late husband's hard-fought battle with the disease.
