Ann C. Nelson

Ann Nelson passed away on November 11, 2023. She was born in New Britain, CT on September 8, 1937, to John and Rochelle Dutkiewicz.

Everyone she knew considered her a friend. Her infectious smile will be deeply missed. Ann was a gourmet cook and baker. Chocolate chip and cream cheese cupcakes were her specialty. She enjoyed giving away her baked goods to her friends and neighbors.

Ann worked in the office of Middlesex Mutual Assurance Company in Middletown, CT until her retirement.

Ann is survived by her Husband of 68 years, Howard of Washington, NH and their three children. David is the oldest. He and his wife Beth of Derry, NH have three children, Jay, Andrew, and John who all loved their Grandmother. Steven is the second oldest. He and his wife Jenifer live Bristol, CT. Pamela, their daughter, is the youngest. She lives in Glen Rock, PA.

Ann is also survived by her sister Nancy Roman of Newington, CT and her brother John (Butch) Dutkiewicz and his wife Pat of Kensington, CT.

Ann and Howard worked together building a house in Connecticut. They eventually purchased property on the shore of Island Pond in Washington, New Hampshire for a summer cottage. They quickly fell in love with the town of Washington, the state of New Hampshire, and the lake, and realized that they eventually had to live there and converted the cottage to a permanent home.

They spent the end of her life in Washington enjoying the house they built.
