Anna J. Greer-Jarry died peacefully on October 8, 2024 at home, with her husband John by her side. She was born October 7, 1937 on the family farm in Columbia, NH to the late Henry and Helen (Haney) Greer.
The three of them moved to Vermont when Anna was 2 and finally settled on the farm in Newark where Anna went to the one room schoolhouse for 8 years and graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1956.
During her school years she worked at the Randall’s Red & White Store, West Burke and the Pisha Lodge at Willoughby Lake. October 1, 1956 she went to work at St. Johnsbury Trucking Co. as a file clerk in the Claims Dept. When the company closed its doors in June of 1993, she was a Jr. Claims Investigator. From 1994 to 1997 she worked at the Citizens Savings Bank & Trust Co. as a teller.
Anna married her soul mate John Jarry on her birthday October 7, 1995. It was noted he could not forget her birthday or anniversary. They made their home on High Street, Lyndonville.
Anna & John loved riding back roads, doing crafts, doing Christmas Bazaars, traveling, and meeting friends and family. They met and made many friends in their travels.
Anna is survived by her husband John, step-children Lynda, Peter. Tim, Richard, Robert and their families. Several nieces & nephews and their families. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Leonard & Henry, sisters Helen, Irvie, Vada, and Fannie. Also nieces Irvie Jr and Alta. Nephews William, Lawrence, and Irvin.
Grave side service will be in Spring 2025 at the Colebrook Village Cemetery, Colebrook, NH.
