Annabelle Criss Bailey

Annabelle Criss Bailey, lately of Harris Hill Center in Concord, NH, crossed the Great River to be with Chip, all her kitties and loved ones gone before. She was liberated from the restraints of dementia in the early morning hours of January 28, 2019. Anna was born in Pocahontas, VA., on May 2, 1925, to Johnnie F. and Virginia Lee (Hays) Criss.

Prior to her married life Anna had lived in Virginia, Tennessee and Largo, FL. Anna graduated from Largo High School in 1942-43. Later she lived in Franklin, Manchester and Bow, NH. Before her retirement Anna was an accomplished seamstress for the NH State Hospital. In retirement Anna continued with her sewing skills by providing many alterations, knits and quilts made with love for clients, family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, spoiling all of her cats as well as dancing, traveling and many happy times at a special place in Vermont called Belly Button Hill with her husband Chip. A 50th class reunion trip for the Largo HS was a great adventure and opportunity to reunite with long ago friends. Anna also cherished time with her family and a good TV crime drama.

She was predeceased by her parents, husbands Joseph P. Aste, R. Nelson Daigneau, Horace (Chip) Bailey, her brother Roy E. Criss, her son Francis (Buddy) Aste, daughter Melissa Bailey, sister-in-law "Teddy" Daigneau and brother-in-law Gerald Daigneau.
