Anastasia Anna Twitchell, 86, of Salem died September 19, 2004 at Haven Health Center in Derry following a brief illness. Anna was born on August 3, 1918 in Melville, New York the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (Isham) Ban. She attended schools in New York and Massachusetts and was employed as an LPN and CAT Scan Technician at Hale Hospital in Havehill, Ma for 14 years. She also worked at several Nursing Homes in the Haverhill area before retiring at 62. She was a parishioner of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem. She had played the piano for the residents of Salem Haven in their activity center and also at St. Josephs Church in Salem. Her favorite leisure activities were music, cooking and spending time at the beach, particularly Salisbury Beach. In her spare time, Anna also volunteered in her community. Family members include: one daughter, Beverly LaBelle of Round Rock, Texas; three grandchildren, Robert J. LaBelle of Round Rock, Texas, Karyn A. Chiachio of Auburn and Keith A. LaBelle of Kiev, Ukraine; and four great grandchildren.
