Our beautiful mother, Anne (Tucker) McCoy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, after a period of declining health.

Anne was born in Woodstock, NH, on August 21, 1937, and raised on Paradise Road in North Woodstock in a house her grandfather built. She was a "child of the White Mountains," as if those mountains and rivers were part of her DNA.

Anne was, in every sense of the word, a true artist. Self-taught, she brought the landscapes of her childhood to life on canvas. Although painting was her preferred medium, Anne's artistic sense reached beyond the canvas into every aspect of life: as a hairdresser, cosmetologist for Adrien Arpel in NYC, real estate agent, airbrush artist, and beloved B&B hostess, all while raising “her girls”.

Anne had a "wicked" sense of humor, a sharp mind, and a dramatic personality that was truly her own. She was an avid reader, with a lifelong passion for art and culture, and enjoyed trips to Europe, immersing herself in art and history, especially in France.

Anne is survived by Andrea and Keith Badger, Jane McCoy and Todd Smith, Connie McCoy, and LeighAnn Marino; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; her siblings Suellen Balestra, Nina Toutant, Richard Tucker, and Robert Tucker, and their spouses, Noreen Szmul; and many nieces and nephews.

Anne was predeceased by her baby girl, Dakota Horne; her parents, Ethel and Richard Tucker; and her siblings, John Tucker, William Tucker, and Marion Walsh.

A church service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, Peterborough, NH, on October 17 at 11:00 am. Instead of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ in Anne’s honor.

The burial will take place at the Woodstock Cemetery, Woodstock, NH, on Sunday, October 18, at 12:00

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Brattleboro
