Anne
Perry
Aug 21, 1937 — Dec 26, 2025
With profound sadness, we announce that our beloved mother, Anne “Nancy” Perry, 88, of Dover, NH, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025.
Nancy was born on August 21, 1937, in Brighton, MA, to Alice (Scarry) and Francis Dominic Gallagher. She grew up in Watertown, MA, where she lived until she met and married the love of her life, Lloyd.
A Life of Family, Service, and Home
Nancy and Lloyd made Dover their home in 1973 after retiring from military service. As part of a military family, Nancy lived in several states and abroad, including two assignments in Panama.
Through every move and every chapter, her family remained her focus. She had a gift for making a house feel like home, feeding her hungry family wonderful meals on a tight budget that somehow never showed—meals everyone enjoyed to the very last scrape of the dish.
Her Joys and Passions
Nancy loved animals, adored babies, and enjoyed music from the 1950s rock and roll era, along with big band, jazz, and swing. She and Lloyd—her only dance partner—would put on music and light up the floor. They were a joy to watch.
A Caring Heart
Nancy wore many hats: mother, teacher, counselor, caretaker, mediator, and nurse. She cared not only for her own family, but also for neighbors, children, and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and deep concern for others.
She lit up our world, and now she lights up the heavens.
Loved Ones
Nancy was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Lloyd; her sister, Frances Chase of MA; and her brothers, Edward of Utica, NY, and Jack of MA.
She is survived by her children: Christine (Perry) and Don Tibbetts of Farmington, NH; Shawn and Rebecca Perry of Lebanon, ME; Tamara (Perry) and Rod Knowles of South Berwick; and Kevin Perry of Dover. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph and Megan Tibbetts and Skye and Clint Knowles, as well as several nieces and nephews in NY.
