MANCHESTER -- Anne L. Smith, 86, died May 31, 2010, at St. Teresa Healthcare in Manchester. She was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Drifton, Pa., the daughter of John and Bertha (Kohlhaas) Quinn. She was raised and educated in Pennsylvania. She worked as a telephone operator supervisor for Bell Telephone for many years. Mrs. Smith was a resident of Clifton Heights, Pa., most of her life. For the past three years she lived in New Hampshire. She truly enjoyed the time she spent at Bentley Commons in Bedford, where she leaves many friends. She was an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Clifton Heights, Pa. Mrs. Smith was credited with creating Kids Closet and Anne's Attic at St. Mark's, which still operate successfully. Mrs. Smith was a dedicated wife and mother. IN HER LIFE: She is survived by her son, Paul Smith and his wife Jerri of Morristown, NJ; daughter, Donna Fallon and her husband Jay of Manchester, NH; 5 grandchildren, Christine Chambers and her husband Vince, Dan Fallon, Stephen Smith, Brian Smith, and Hilary Smith and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased her husband, John T. Smith, grandson, Jack Fallon and her 6 brothers and sisters. SERVICES: Her services are private.
