Anne Marie Smith

Anne Marie Smith, 68, of 93 Barrett Hill Road, Wilton, NH died on February 24, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua after a period of failing health. Mrs. Smith was born on June 7, 1932 in Boston, MA the daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Stubbs) Hessler. She was a Lieutenant in the U S Air Force. She attended Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. Mrs. Smith was a cofounder of the Nashua Chapter of Compeer. She enjoyed creative writing and was a member of several writing groups including the Merrimack Valley Writers Group. She wrote numerous short stories as well as a play. She loved to entertain and was well known for her theme parties. She was a very generous and giving individual and devoted most of her life to her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her one true joy were her two grandchildren. Family members include; her husband of 43 years, Richard A. Smith; one son, Michael A. Smith of Nashua; three daughters, Elizabeth A. Smith ofd North Billerica, MA, Patricia M. Smith of Amherst, NH and Susan J. Smith of Wilton, NH; two grandchildren, Bradley and Katie; and several cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Camilla ''Sissy'' Hessler.
