Annette (Gingue) Holloway, 86, of Manchester NH died Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford, NH. She was the loving wife of 63 years to George Herbert Holloway Sr., who died in 2017.
Annette was born in East Hereford, Quebec Canada, daughter of Archie Gingue and Armande (Benoit) Gingue, on April 20, 1935. She held various housekeeping jobs, including working at Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen and working with her husband at National Northeast Corporation. Her most important job, though, was raising her five children. She and her husband George married on August 8, 1953 in Lunenburg, VT. Together, they spent more than six decades raising their family and enjoying each other's company every single day.
Annette was a devoted mother and wife. Loyal to the core, Annette especially enjoyed taking daily walks with her husband around their neighborhood and playing games of Yahtzee together. She and her husband were extremely close and enjoyed each other's company.
As the mother of five, Annette and her family vacationed multiple seasons at Salisbury beach. After she retired, she enjoyed traveling to warm places including Las Vegas, Orlando and Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed a good card game, with Rummy, 45s, Three Nines, Canasta and Uno being some of her favorites. In her younger years, her children fondly recall the many board games they played together.
Perhaps one of her favorite pastimes was going out to eat with her family, particularly if it involved going to Lilac Blossom (her favorite restaurant) and indulging in some Chinese food and a nice cold Coors Light. She was also a big WWE fan whose greatest joy was watching her favorite wrestlers Stone Cold Steve Austin and Randy Orton in the ring. Annette loved rock music, concerts (Bon Jovi and Aerosmith) and dancing. In her spare time, she enjoyed tuning into crime shows on TV.
A dedicated mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend, Annette will be missed by so many.
Surviving her are her children Jerry Holloway and wife Melanie Holloway of Derry NH; Judy Dube of Methuen MA; George Holloway Jr. of Haverhill MA; Kathy Switser of Lyndonville VT; and Sally Holloway of Manchester NH; and sisters Mary Plante, Juliette Boutin and Jeannette DiNicola. She leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Annette is predeceased by her parents, her husband, her sisters Aurore (Ginger) Bennett, Fernande (Andy) Castle and Noella Gingue, and brother Noel Gingue.
