Annette B. Lewis

Annette B. Lewis, 94, of Salisbury, NH, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Annette was born in Swanton, VT on March 14, 1929, to the late Louis and Anna Campono and she was educated locally. Annette dedicated her life to the care of others, as evidenced by a rewarding and successful career in healthcare that spanned three decades. She served in hospitals and nursing homes and skillfully tended to the elderly and others nearing the end of life through hospice work with the local VNA. Annette and her family moved to New Hampshire in 1980 where she embarked on a new adventure. She opened an in-home childcare facility and cared for children of all ages in her community for nearly 20 years. Annette knew no greater joy than that which comes from nurturing and supporting those she loved. She spent her spare time cooking for her family and ensuring they always had an immaculately clean and warm home to return to. She was a faithful member of Christ the King Parish in Concord, and occasionally indulged her guilty pleasure of people watching at Frekey’s Ice Cream.

Annette is survived by her beloved husband, Frederick Lewis; her son Scott Lewis and his wife, Krista; grandchildren Austin Lewis, Kayley Lewis, Chari Anderson and her husband Rich, and Cathy Flynn; great grandchildren Cara Anderson, Callie Mahoney, Kyra Doane, and Mya Doane; great-great grandchildren Sebastian, Remy, and Roen; her brother Armand Campano and his wife, Percy; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. She was predeceased by her son Gary “Mike” Lagrow; her brothers Lawrence Campano and Clement Campano; and her sisters Cecile Richard, Lorraine Sinclair, and Theresa Chavalier.

Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, May 11, 2023, 4:00-5:00pm at Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street in Boscawen. A memorial service will begin at 5:00 in the funeral home chapel. Annette will be interred during a privately attended ceremony at New Hampshire Stare Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
