Anthony P. (Tony) Ferdinand Jr. peacefully passed on October 10th, 2017.

He was born on May 30th, 1931, in Boston, Mass, to the late Anthony and Thelma Ferdinand.

Tony was a proud Navy veteran of the Korean War and later worked for MIT's Lincoln Lab, in Lexington, MA, until retiring in 1991.

He was a loving husband to his late wife Bridie; and devoted father of 9 children, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Tony is survived by his sister, Thelma Meranda, of Andover MA, and by his children: Anthony Ferdinand and his wife, Cathy Gast, of Brookline, NH; Susan Murphy, of West Roxbury, MA; Barbara O'Dell and her husband, Brian, of Black Diamond, WA; Kathy Ferdinand of Dracut, MA; James Ferdinand and his wife, Dierdra, of Litchfield, NH; Paul Ferdinand and his wife, Nuala, of Pinehurst, NC; Peter Ferdinand of Fitchburg, MA; and Bridget Desroches and her husband, David, of Groton, MA. In addition, Tony is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Ann McEnnis, of Westford, MA, and his sister, Mazie Farren, of Las Cruces, NM.

A celebration of life reception will be held on Saturday November 11th, between the hours of 4:00PM to 8:00PM, at the Tewksbury Country Club, 1880 Main Street, Tewksbury, MA. Please join us to raise a glass to the life of Tony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
