April Christine Walewicz -Kurinskas, 57, of Manchester died Friday September 26, 2008 at the Concord Regional VNA Hospice House following a brief illness. She was born on April 1, 1951 in Manhattan, NY the daughter of the late Nickolas J Walewicz and Eleanore (Bolter) Rasp. She was educated at Queen of the Rosary Academy and received her bachelor's degree from New Hampshire College. April moved from Long Island to Epping, NH in 1978, just in time for the blizzard. She worked as a human resource director at various businesses and hospitals. Among April accomplishments was build a house and playing the Glockenspiel. She enjoyed dressage, reading and interior design. She was a great lover of animals. In Her Life: She is survived by her daughter, Alexandria Ellis of Manchester; her only grandson, Chad Michael Ellis; her sister, Susan Walewicz of Medford, MA; aunt, Olga; cousins, her cats, Sweet Pea and Elmo and her horse, Miller. Her Memorial Gathering will be held at in the Chapel of the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Wednesday October 8th from 2-3PM with her service to follow at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers donations in April's name can be made to Live and Let Live Farm, 20 Paradise Lane, Chichester, NH 03258.
