Arlene H. Bastable, 76, of 583 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH died on December 23, 2000 at Southern NH Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bastable was born on March 27, 1924 in Old Town, ME the daughter of the late Oral Alton and Edna Mae (Ellis) Hardy. She was a factory worker for numerous factories throughout the Nashua area. She was an active member of the Senior Center and AARP in Nashua. She was also a member of the Share New England Program and TOPIC LIHA Organization. She leaves behind many friends. Family members include; one son, Wayne Bastable of Amherst; one stepson, Thomas Bastable of Florida; one stepdaughter, Dolores Bastable of Florida; several grandchildren; one brother, Oral Hardy of Holbrook, MA; one sister, Edna Ivers of MA; many nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and a close friend and caretaker, Dawn Charron of Amherst. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Bastable. Friends and family may gather on Monday, January 8, 2001 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the Senior Center, 70 Temple Street, Nashua, NH to share memories and celebrate her life.
