Arline Claire Belanger, 83, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, in Dover, NH. Born on May 25, 1942, in Nashua, NH, she spent her early years in her hometown and attended school there.
A lifelong member of the Catholic Church, Arline was a devoted parishioner of St. Michael Church in Exeter, NH. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life and shaped her deep commitment to service and community. Arline had a passion for creativity that she expressed through painting and quilting. Her handmade creations, each crafted with care and love, are cherished keepsakes among family and friends. She also dedicated much of her time to volunteering for various charitable organizations.
Whether helping those in need or spending time with children, Arline found joy in giving back and making others feel seen and valued. Her vibrant personality and radiant smile lit up every room she entered. Those who knew her will remember the warmth she brought into their lives and the kindness she extended to everyone around her.
Arline is lovingly remembered by her daughter Mary-Ellen Tillotson and Mary-Ellen’s life partner, Paul A. Stowell; her sister Susan Burns Luscher and her husband Lou as well as her very dear friend Barbara Pervear. Arline also had many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her daughter Kristen-Lee Tillotson and her son, Patrick Anthony Tillotson, her father Richard Charles Belanger; her mother Florence Dora (Gilman) Belanger-Bikes; and her stepfather Frank Bikes.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Church, 9 Lincoln St., Exeter, NH on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM. A reception in the St. Michael Church Function Hall will immediately follow.
