Arnold J. Johannesen, 71, of Nashua died on May 31, 2000, at Southern New Hampshire Regional Hospital after a lenghty illness. Mr. Johannesen was born on January 22, 1929 inWinthrop, Ma. , the son of the late Ole and Petra (Knudsen) Johannesen. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1951 with a degree in business administration. He was captain of their baseball team and also played hockey. He was Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He was a realtor for Berman Real Estate and Stoudt Real Estate in Nashua. He was a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Nashua and served as chairman of the Chapel School. He was also a member of their Men's Club. He was a former member of the Nashua Country Club. Family members include his wife of 48 years. Charlotte (Evans) Johannesen, one son, James A. Johannesen of Nashua, one daughter Sharon Gualco of Nashua, four grandchildren, Sarah Johannesen, Nikolis, Alisha and Brianna Gualco, two brothers, Albert R. Johannesen of South Dennis, Ma. And Arthur J. Johannesen and his sister-in-law Wilma of Bingham, Maine, one sister, Mrs. Lillian Brown of Greeville, RI, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Gertrude Meister. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday morning, June 8, 2000 at 11 o'clock in Christ the King Lutheran Church, 3 Lutheran Drive, Nashua, NH 03063. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christ the King Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in his memory. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements
