Arthur G. Cateras, 81, of Amherst, NH, passed away on July 25, 2023, at Elliot Hospital. Born on November 25, 1941, he was the son of the late George Cateras, and Aphrodite Lynch (Sotirakopoulos).

He attended Central High School, where he forged lifelong friendships and laid the foundation for his journey ahead.

After graduating high school, Arthur joined Hood Milk, where he worked diligently, displaying a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Always seeking adventure and a sense of duty, he later enlisted in the Navy, serving his country with pride and honor.

Upon his return from the Navy, Arthur became the proud owner of a popular local pizza restaurant. After a successful career in the restaurant business, Arthur eventually retired and embarked on a new chapter of his life. Never one to be idle, he found joy and fulfillment working at a Mobile gas station, where he continued to build connections with the people he served.

Arthur was a man of diverse interests, and among them, horseback riding held a special place in his heart. He found solace and joy in spending time with these majestic creatures, embracing the freedom and tranquility they brought to his life.

He will be remembered not only for his professional achievements and passions but also for his unwavering love for his family. As a brother, uncle, and friend, Arthur enriched the lives of those around him through his unwavering support, sage advice, and endless affection.

Arthur is survived by his sisters; Mary and her husband Bob, Toni Moore and her husband Keith, Lindia Deese, his nieces, and nephews; Gary S. Deese, Jessica McCalvey, Kyle McCalvey, Morgan and David Phan, Bobbie Ann Goodridge and Pat, Megan Goodridge, Samantha Goodridge, Shannon Moody, Kameryn Moody, Derek Moore and his wife Mary Moore, Carter Moore, Mia Moore.

SERVICES: A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 17th, 2023, at 12:00PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, New Hampshire.
