Arthur J. Gagnon, age 91, born in Wilmington, MA, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025 in Sun City Center, FL with the support of close family and friends.

Arthur was born on February 21, 1934, in Wilmington, MA; was the son of the late Leon and Anna (Beauchesne) Gagnon and husband to the late Eleanor (Ronco) Gagnon. Arthur was one of eleven siblings that were raised in Wilmington, he also lived in Tewksbury, MA and was a long-time resident of Laconia, NH where he worked as a truck driver for Pex Lumber Company, before relocating to Florida in 2015 with his late wife Eleanor. Arthur served in the US Navy (1952-1955) during the Korean War and was recognized for his service being awarded the Korean, United Nations, China and National Defense Service Medals, and the Navy Occupation Medal.

Arthur enjoyed early morning walks, fishing and good laughs and long conversations over a healthy meal with family and friends. He always had a great story to tell and for many years was the family cameraman, taking movies and photographs at family gatherings and special events. Arthur also enjoyed vintage automobiles and motorcycles. During the cold New England winters, he and Ellie traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC and St. Petersburg, FL finding pleasure in the sun and fishing along the shores. Around 2015 he relocated permanently to Florida.

Arthur was the beloved brother of Claire Sullivan of Lowell, the late Theresa English, Madeline Bimbo, Yvonne Love, Antonio Gagnon, George Gagnon, Paul Gagnon, Albert Gagnon, Willie Gagnon, and Bob Gagnon. Sister-in-law of Nancy Gagnon of New Hampshire, Cathy Gagnon of Tewksbury, and Nancy Gagnon of Arizona. Arthur is further survived by his long time girlfriend Amy Yoder, and close friends Nick and Pam along with many special nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held in Ruskin, FL and will be arranged by his family at a date and location to be announced. For more information, please reach out to his niece, Karen Cadiero-Kaplan.
