Arthur "Art" B. Thorgerson, 66, of Epsom died peacefully at home on June 16, 2003 following a lengthy illness. Mr. Thorgerson was born on April 9, 1937 in Manchester, the son of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Brown) Thorgerson. He was raised in Manchester and attended local schools. He joined the National Guard and later became a U S Marine where he served during the Korean War. Arthur was a shoe shop worker for J F's for many years and also worked for Layton Machine as a machinist. He finally retired in 2002 from Ventures where he was employed as an assembly worker. Arthur belonged to Precious Blood League of A Thousand Men. He grew up fishing, hunting and trapping and loved the outdoors. Family members include; his wife Cynthia (Danforth) Thorgerson of 16 years; two sons, Tommy Thorgerson of New Boston and Gary Thorgerson of Goffstown; six daughters, Kim Khan of Manchester, Nicole Martin of Manchester, Leslie Olivier of Pembroke, Carla Throgerson of Manchester, Judy Thorgerson of Manchester and Irene Bisson of California; several grandchildren; two brothers, Peter Throgerson of Goffstown and David Thorgerson of Pembroke; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Violet Campbell. There will be no calling hours. Services will be announced at a later date.
