ARTHUR C. WARD
Arthur C. Ward, 94 of Warren, NH taxied the runway and was cleared for his final flight on 2 October after a short illness.
Born in Amagansett, NY August 10, 1925 to Arthur J. Ward and Margaret Healy Ward. Art lived in NY City and NJ until he joined the United States Navy during WWII where he served in the Pacific Theater. Art met and married the love of his life Virginia Beal Ward in 1946 in Washington DC and they made their home together in New Jersey until their retirement. Art was an avid aviator and was very proud of his many accomplishments in the field of aviation and aviation electronics and spent many years as owner of C&W Aero Services in Caldwell NJ.
Art is survived by his wife of 73 years, his grandson Christopher Ward (Sylvia), his nephew and niece Michael and Jeanne Clark, nephew Daniel Clark (Linda), niece Diane Clark-Holland (Bob), nephew Joseph Vopelak and niece Karen Reed. He is also survived by many cousins who he enjoyed a close relationship with. Art was predeceased by his parents and son Stephen Ward.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the NH Veteran's Cemetery.
