B.Gayle Gobin (nee Fournier and formerly Michaud), 80, of Bedford, NH passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026 surrounded by family. She was born on September 18, 1945 and died following a 19-year run with Alzheimer's Disease.

The "B" in her name stands for something you will never know. "Why, my name is Bubbles Gayle!" she'd declare if you asked, throwing back her shoulders and lifting her chin like the coquettish Southern belle she pretended to be, but only when you asked what the "B" stands for. She also loved it when you called her Babette, for reasons her family still doesn't understand.

Gayle was a trusted friend and confidante to her wide circle of family and friends, and her loved ones always came away feeling understood, rejuvenated, and often still laughing.

Gayle elevated kindness to an art form. She once felt so badly for an elderly woman who T-boned her car-a recent widow who was falling behind in her bills-that she took the lady's number, helped her work out a financial plan, and provided funds to help her repair her car. She was also a believer in anonymous acts of kindness, benefitting countless people who got a boost exactly when they needed it. Gayle's commitment to helping others led her to volunteer with a hospice, where she facilitated bereavement groups and served on the vigil team, keeping people company so they wouldn't die alone.

Gayle enjoyed a long, successful career in sales, although if you asked what she did for work, she'd tell you she jumped out of birthday cakes wearing nothing but sparklers or arranged decorative cattle into pleasing tableaus on hillsides. She was too modest to mention that she retired as the top sales associate at GN Netcom, selling so may wireless headsets that she regularly won trips to Aruba.

Before headsets, Gayle sold parts to medical device companies and classes to aspiring long-haul truck drivers. She scheduled blood donations for the Red Cross and sold World Book encyclopedias door to door. In the early 70's-adorned in a towering beehive, the mere scrap of a miniskirt, and an industrial-strength magnetic personality-she was one of the first tour guides at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Merrimack.

Gayle was raised in Manchester, but also lived in California, Arizona, and Maine. She returned to her childhood home to care for her parents and remained there until she found love again at sixty, then moved to Goffstown to live with her husband.

She spent the last three years of her life at The Arbors of Bedford, where she received excellent care from staff who jockeyed for the privilege of caring for her on their shift. After the pandemic, which took a toll on people with dementia, she communicated using what doctors referred to as "unintelligible speech," but what her family understood as her own secret language. She never stopped telling captivating stories, delivering punchlines, and laughing her one-of-a-kind laugh. She brought joy to those around her, and she did it without a single word anyone could understand.

Hers was the brightest of lights, and she will be missed.

She is survived by her children Marcy Franck and Matthew Michaud; sisters Marcie Boivin, Sharon Nelson, and Guinevere Twitchell; son-in-law Travis Franck, grandchildren Keegan and Devon Franck, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Gobin Jr.; parents Mary and Dwight Fournier; nephew Timothy Nelson; and siblings Thom Fournier and Kelly Barrette who, along with a gaggle of boisterous O'Halloran aunts and uncles, surely met her at the Pearly Gates with bagpipes, Guinness, and a corned beef dinner.

A celebration of life will be held on September 19, 10:00 a.m. at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer's Association .
