Her most treasured memory was of going to Graceland after her initial diagnosis in 2003. Her favorite past times were crotcheting, charcoal drawing, painting, cooking, and watching television. She also had a great love of dining out at Ruby Tuesdays, where she could get her favorite dessert of tiramisu, and drink a Heineken. Her favorite shows included American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, The Voice, and of course, as anyone of her caregivers could tell you, "One Life to Live." Barb would want you to know, that when you believe that you aren't going to make it through, the love of family, and good friends makes it a lot easier to bear. She would also like to extend special thanks to all of helped out, and made the journey easier.
She would want donations to be made to the American Cancer Society, and to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Special thanks to the Susan G. Komen foundation for paying for all hospice care related to breast cancer patients, and also to all of her caregivers at St. Joseph's hospital, and home and hospice.
