Barbara D. Connolly

Barbara Dullea Connolly, 73, died January 19, 2024 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH. Born September 14th, 1950 in South Kingston, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Bernard and Aileen Dullea, sister to Judith and brothers Paul and Robert, and wife of Paul Connolly for 35 years.

In her professional career, Barbara worked as Director of Corporate Conferences at the MONY Group, as well as Speaker Coordinator and Operations Manager at the Center for Advanced Engineering Study at MIT. In 1989 she launched her own company, Eventworks, Inc., which served clients that included Mutual Life Insurance, MIT, Lotus Development and many others at events ranging from golf tournaments in Arizona and Palm Springs to corporate events at Sea World and Mardis Gras.

Barbara loved to cook and hosted many festive gatherings for family and friends at the restored 18th century farmhouse she shared with her husband Paul. She also loved animals, adopting numerous cats over the years, along with two senior golden retrievers.

Barbara is survived by her husband Paul, brother Paul Dullea of Nashua NH, nieces Maeve and Kate Dullea of Weymouth, MA, Joyce Levesque of Harrisville, NH, Judy Detour of Weare, NH, her nephew Scott Slattery of Hudson, NH, five great nephews, and one great niece. She will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service for family and friends is planned for May 1, 2024 at 12 pm at the chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
