Barbara Fournier

Barbara A. (Tibbs) Fournier, 73, of Manchester NH, died Sunday, April 25, 2021, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family after a very quick battle with lung cancer.

She was born May 1, 1947 in Havre de Grace, Maryland to the late J. Robert Tibbs Sr. and the late Mildred L. (Walter) Tibbs. Barbara was one of six children.
Barbara spent the early years of her marriage raising her family. Once divorced, she went to work for Felton Brush Company. She retired from Felton Brush after 25 years of service at the age of 62. In her retirement she had her volunteer work at the church. She loved visiting folks in nursing homes and those home bound, but mostly loved caring for her great grandbabies.

Barbara was a member of Tower Hill Church in Auburn, NH, formerly known as First Assembly of God. She was the longest standing member of the church dating back to the late 1970's. She was an active member involved in Foreign Missions, Greeting Team, and Evangelism Outreach but will be best remembered as "the lady in the front row" who loved to worship her Savior and gave "the best hugs"!

Barbara was predeceased by her loving mother and father, her brothers: Thomas Richard Tibbs and William Edward Tibbs. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: J. Robert Tibbs Jr. and wife Judith of Level, MD, Betty (Tibbs) Callahan of Aberdeen, MD, Johnny Wayne Tibbs and wife Linda of NC, and Linda Tibbs-Fournier and husband Andre of Havre de Grace, MD; her children: Theresa J. Fournier of Manchester, NH, Thomas R. Fournier and wife, Laurie Mikels of Hillsborough, NH and Jacqueline A. Fournier Cook and husband Jack of Waterville Valley, NH; her three grandchildren: Stephanie (Fournier) Hallett and husband John of Manchester, NH, Evelyn (Fournier) Champagne and husband Nathan of Manchester, NH and Jacob R. Fournier of Manchester, NH; and her great-grandchildren: Riley A. Hallett, Elijah T. Fournier and Theodore O. Hallett; several nieces and nephews.

WE REMEMBER: Barbara's Passions were Missionary Trips, Cruises with her sisters, and Trips to Florida in the winter. She enjoying watching sporting events but her favorites were Football, Tennis and College basketball.
