Barbara A. Pierce

Barbara A. (Isles) Pierce, 83, died August 10, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Manchester, NH. She was born in Peabody, MA to the late R. Russell and Hannah (Morgan) Isles. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Russell and Richard Isles.

Barbara was educated in the Peabody School System (51), attended Beverly Hospital School of Nursing and New Hampshire College. She attended Oklahoma A&M while serving in the USAF during the Korean War.

Barbara was employed as Personnel Manager at Prevue Products and Manchester Knitted Fashions in the Millyards of Manchester during the 70's AND 80's. Later, she retired from the Veterans Administration and the USAF Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM.

She volunteered as a Senior Companion in Albuquerque, NM, the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH and the Make a Wish Foundation.
Surviving family members include her children: Dr. Donald and Meilin Pierce of Torrance, CA; David and Toni Pierce of Hillsborough; Dexter Pierce and Barbara Kitzmiller of Londonderry; and Caroline Pierce of Manchester, NH; her brother Robert J. and Caroline Isles; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

After cremation a Memorial Mass will be held at St Jude's Catholic Parish, 435 mammoth Road in Londonderry, NH on Saturday, September 23rd at 10:00 AM. Her ashes will be interred Monday, September 25th at 10:00am at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen, NH. The Cremation Society of NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
