IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara J.
Searles
July 11, 1951 – January 14, 2026
Barbara Janene (MacLaren) Searles, 74, of Moultonboro, New Hampshire, passed away after a life defined by strength, determination, and love for her family.
Barbara was born on July 11, 1951, in Lowell, Massachusetts. She later made her home in Moultonboro, NH, where she built a life surrounded by the people and passions she cherished most.
She was married to her devoted husband, Craig Searles, and was a loving mother to her son Stephan Searles and her daughter Sherri Walden, and son-in-law Bill Walden. Barbara was a proud grandmother to Kyran, Zachary, Ryley, and Lucien, each of whom brought her great joy. Special thanks and love to Kyran and Lucien’s mother Joy Resendes. Heartfelt thanks and love to her cherished friend Bitty.
Predeceased by her parents and sister, Edna Mae (Spencer), George P. MacLaren and Janet DeCarolis. Survived by brother Ronald MacLaren, sister-in-law Donna MacLaren and brother-in-law Phillip DeCarolis. She leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Barbara enjoyed gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family, finding happiness in both creativity and togetherness. She was known for her strong will, determination, and independence, qualities that defined her throughout her life.
True to form, Barbara remained in charge until the very end — wanting to be at the wheel, at the helm, and directing the final show. She faced her passing with resolve and readiness, prepared to move on to the next chapter of this journey called life.
Barbara will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
