Barry Holbrook, 72, passed away on July 20, 2026, peacefully at home. Born on July 2, 1953 to Doris and Bob Holbrook. Barry lived a life defined by service, hard work, laughter, and devotion to those he loved most.

Barry graduated from West High School in 1970 and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1974. Following his military service, he began a remarkable career with the power company, where he worked for 41 years. His dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of his coworkers and all who knew him. His coworkers knew him as someone who would give you the shirt off his back—and probably make a joke about it while doing so.

Barry was the beloved husband of Linda Holbrook and a proud father to his sons, Marty and Lee Holbrook. He was a loving stepfather to Jessica Washington, Jason and Jeremy Zebrowski embracing them as part of the family he cherished so deeply.

Barry was also a proud grandparent to all his grandchildren: Collin, Rorey, Harvey, Gus, Alexxis, Blaise and Zoey. Whether sharing stories, jokes, or simply enjoying time together, he created memories that will be treasured forever.

Barry is also survived by his siblings, Scott Holbrook, Mark Holbrook, and Lisa Holbrook, along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Barry was known for his quick wit, warm personality, and remarkable ability to make others laugh. While his jokes occasionally tested the boundaries of good taste, they were always delivered with a smile and a twinkle in his eye.

Beyond his work and humor, Barry found his greatest happiness in spending time with family, relaxing at the beach, and cheering on his beloved New York Giants. Whether enjoying the ocean breeze, watching a Giants game, or gathering with loved ones, he appreciated life's simple pleasures.

Barry's life was one of love and laughter. He leaves behind a legacy built on family, friendship, hard work, and countless cherished memories. Though he will be profoundly missed, his family finds comfort in the many memories he created and the lasting impact he made on those he loved. His laughter, stories, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
