Beatrice "Bea" J. Lampen, 80, of Merrimack, NH passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.
A resident of Merrimack for over 45 years, Bea was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Lucien and Pauline (Rader) Bourque on August 29, 1938; her mother's 28th birthday.
After retiring from BAE Systems, Bea, along with her husband Bill, opened Bea's Wash-N-Dry on S. Main Street in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Bea enjoyed gardening, sewing, watching tennis and football, her favorites being University of Michigan and the Patriots. She was an active member of the Merrimack Reeds Ferry Woman's Club and the Senior Citizen Club of Merrimack.
Bea was always kind and offered a helping hand to anyone. She was loved by all who met her and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Members of her family include a daughter and son in-law Beverly and Anthony Coelho of Merrimack, three sons and a daughter in-law, William Lampen of Lampasas, TX, Robert and Keri Lampen of Milford, and Charles Lampen of Merrimack. 5 granddaughters, Stephanie and her husband Daniel Milton, Kelly and her husband Christopher Serafini of Merrimack, Sidney and Gillian Lampen of Lampasas, TX, Sabrina Lampen of Camp Lejeune, NC. Three great-grandchildren, Emma, Penelope, Lucas and baby Serafini. Two sisters Dolores Skelt of FL, Margaret and her husband Richard Blozinski of WI, two sister-in-law Carol Bourque of MI, Sally Lampen and a brother in-law, Charles and his wife Norma Lampen of New Boston; also, several nieces and nephews.
Bea was predeceased by her husband William "Bill" Lampen in 2014, after 51 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by two brothers Lucien and Clayton Bourque, two brothers-in-law Richard Skelt and Howard Rifleman and two nieces Jacqueline and Carmen Bourque.
A Funeral Mass for Bea will be held Saturday, January 26th at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church located at 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH 03054. Burial will be held at Last Rest Cemetery at a later date.
