ENFIELD, NH. – Benjamin Roe Geoghegan, 30, of Enfield died unexpectedly, Saturday, March 26, 2005, at his home in Enfield. He was born February 6, 1975 in Lebanon, NH, and raised in Canaan, NH, a son of Thomas and Priscilla Geoghegan. He attended the Cardigan Mountain School, where he was awarded the “Faculty Prize” upon graduation in 1990. He subsequently attended Suffield Academy in Suffield, CT, and Connecticut College, where he majored in Zoology, and graduated in 1999. At Connecticut College he excelled at courses related to Oceanic Biology. His love, and knowledge of German automotive technology, particularly that related to BMW, was profound. He loved all types of music, as well as sailing, golfing, and cooking. He will be remembered especially for his grace, charm, infectious humor, love of animals, and unending concern, sensitivity, and generosity towards others. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Thomas and Shelley Geoghegan of Canaan, NH; his mother and stepfather, Priscilla Geoghegan and Ernest Labombard of Canaan, NH; two brothers, James Geoghegan of Hanover, NH, and Charles Geoghegan of San Francisco, CA; a grandmother, Helen Pooler of Canaan, NH; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents Charles Pooler, and William and Margaret Geoghegan. A celebration of his life will take place at Cardigan Mountain School on Saturday, April 2, at 2 in the afternoon. Pictures and memories are being collected for a memory album.
