Benjamin Franklin Saxon

Benjamin Franklin Saxon went to be with our Lord and Savior October 23, 2021. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 46 years, Taffie Brooks Saxon and she will continue with his legacy.

The son of Robert Lee Saxon and Ethel Boyd, Benjamin was a devoted husband, Father, Pop and an all-around fantastic man. He was born and raised in South Carolina. He started his time in the service in 1964 and remained a faithful serviceman even after his retirement in 1985. He joined the NH Department of Corrections as an officer in 1989. Upon his retirement, he became a huge advocate for the Disabled American Veterans serving as commander of Chapter 19, and State Commander, as well as holding many roles to support the DAV.
Ben leaves behind many friends, but his pride and joy were his 5 daughters, Katrina Saxon and her husband Claude, Sasha Strand and her husband Steven, Sabrina Green and her husband William, Megan Harris and her husband Kevin, and Kayla Saxon and her fiancé Tom Reed. His grandchildren made him feel younger and youthful. He also leaves behind a younger brother Tommy Saxon, younger sister Trellis Marie Price, youngest brother John Edward Saxon, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, John Allen Saxon, James Nathenial Varnadore, Jerry Mac Saxon.
