Bernice D. Carvalho, 51, of Lincoln died peacefully September 27, 2005 at home surrounded by family after a 9 year battle with breast cancer. Bernice was born on May 4, 1954 in Fall River, MA the daughter of Norman and Lilianne (Dubreuil) Richard. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee in their RV during the winter months as well as collecting antiques along the way. She and her husband were true partners; they owned and operated the well-known Country Bumpkins Cabins and Campground in Lincoln, NH. Bernice (Ma Bumpkin) enjoyed working side by side with her husband Bill for these past 12 1/2 years making it what it is today. Her family will continue to run the place in the same way in memory of her. Family members include; her husband of 34 years, William Carvalho; one son, Eric Carvalho of Fall River, MA; one daughter, Amy Carvalho of Lincoln; her parents of Fall River, MA; four grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel Richard and Mark Richard both of Fall River, MA; six sisters, Elaine Alves of Fall River, MA, Suzanne Costa of Swansea, MA, Anne Malenfant of Fall River, MA, Claire Francouer of Fall River, MA, Janine Silva of South Dartmouth, MA and Jean Richard of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private and held at a later date.
