Betty Pelletier died February 1, 2026 in Nashua, NH. She was the daughter of George W. Whittemore and Jessie (Green) Whittemore and was born March 6, 1929 in Nashua. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1946. Betty met her late husband, Wilfred Pelletier, at the Armory in 1945 while he was at Fort Devens. They married February 1, 1947.
While still in High School, Betty worked at Improved Machinery Corporation and later at Beebe Rubber Company, until she retired in January 1985.
Betty enjoyed Scrabble, Bowling, and was an avid reader. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to Old Orchard Beach, Maine; St. Petersburg, Florida; and especially their five trips to Hawaii.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Julie, her three sisters, Marjorie Casteris, Lenore Dichard and Cynthia Leard and their husbands, and a granddaughter, Heather Orff. She loved her family, including her daughter, Wendy Orff Brantley and her husband, Quinton Brantley, and her son, Brian Pelletier and his wife, Carol Pelletier. She also had three grandchildren, Michael Orff and his wife Emily Cohen, Stacy Orff and Shawn Pelletier and his wife, Nicole. In addition, she was delighted to have four great-grandchildren: Sebastian Whitfield, Wyatt Orff, Skylar Pelletier and Braiden Pelletier. She will be dearly missed by all.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10 – 11 a.m., at Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester, NH. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cemetery services will be private.
